Does Islam and Shariah Have More In Common With Nazi
Ideology Than With Religion?

Since the atrocities committed on 9/11/01 by Middle Eastern Muslim
terrorists in the name of Islam, people in the U.S. and West have debated
whether Islam is “a religion of peace” or more of an all-encompassing
totalitarian ideology cloaked in religious garb. Unfortunately, it appears that
the Qur’an, Shariah, and the Islamic terrorist attacks of the last thirty years,
indicate that Islam is indeed a totalitarian ideology engaged in an effort of
world-wide conquest much like Nazism. The major difference being that Nazism was
based on racial affiliation while Islam is based on religious affiliation.



The word “Islam” – contrary to popular belief – means
“submission” and not “peace.” When Islam was founded by Muhammad ibn Abdallah in
the 7th century, it conquered the Arabian Peninsula through bloody wars and
conquests against fellow Arabs, and Jewish tribes. After the consolidation of
Islam in Arabia, the Arabs quickly moved out to conquer the Persian and
Byzantine empires, as well as parts of India, and subsequently Spain. All was
done under the sword or through discrimination. It was not done by peacefully
proselytizing the indigenous populations.

A Brief Overview of Shariah:

The holy book of Islam – the Qur’an – contains laws and commandments for
the believing Muslim. It is also a book that is replete with references to war,
conquest, and the treatment of non-Muslims. From the Qur’an (primarily), and the
Sunnah and Hadith (secondarily) came - amongst other principles - the exegesis
(tafsir) and jurisprudence (fiqh) of how the laws, sayings, customs, and
traditions of Muhammad were to be interpreted. Thus was born Shariah (meaning
the “path”). Shariah is not a simple concept to explain (even by and for
Muslims), but it can simply be equated with “Islamic law.”

Shariah
dictates every aspect of a Muslim’s life – both private and public. It is a
total system that not only encompasses the individual, but how the government
should rule as well. Islam is therefore a religio-political entity and ideally
guided by a caliph (“successor”) to Muhammad. However, the Caliph came to be
something of a “supreme leader” as both the head of government and the head of
religion. In short, there is no separation of “mosque and state” in an ideal
Islamic setting.

While different schools of Shariah exist with various
interpretations of the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Hadith, all see Islam and Muslims as
superior to every other religion, and view non-Muslims as “dhimmi” (plural,
“dhimma”) who are regarded as inferior to Muslims under Islamic law. It is the
dhimma (namely Jews, Christians, and other monotheistic religions) who must pay
the jizya and kharaj (poll and land taxes) because they do not recognize the
Qur’an. They must also wear distinctive clothing (usually yellow for Jews, and
blue for Christians.)

The Nazi-Islamic Alliance:

During the
1930’s Muslims of all different nationalities (most notably Arabs and Persians)
were very sympathetic to Adolph Hitler and Nazism. The reverse was also true.
Hitler and Heinrich Himmler only had respectful things to say of Islam, and
Hitler himself had said that it would have been better if Germany had possessed
the “Mohammedan religion” rather than the “meekness and flabbiness” of
Christianity.

At the same time, in the Arab world, Nazi-like movements
began to spring up. There were the “Nazi Scouts” of Arab youth in British
mandated Palestine (based on the Hitler Youth) the “Green Shirts” of Egypt, and
the Syrian Social Nationalist Party. Even the Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt was
influenced by the Nazis in its political ideology, and many fleeing Nazis were
warmly welcomed in Arab countries after World War II.

But Nazi ideology
also had an effect in non-Arab Muslim countries, such as Iran. In 1935, Persia
was renamed Iran (Land of the Aryans) and Reza Shah Pahlavi, the ruler of
Persia/Iran had an open admiration for Hitler. There was also an Iranian Nazi
party known as SUMKA with its own Nazi-like symbol. However, fears among the
allies were so great that the British had Reza Shah deposed because of perceived
German influence in Iran. Indeed, Churchill had at least on one occasion
compared the Qur’an to Mein Kampf.

It was during this period, that the
Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini sought out Adolph Hitler and other top
Nazis in order to apply the Arab/Muslim “Final Solution to the Jewish Question”
in the Middle East. Hitler and Himmler were very receptive, and with the help of
the Mufti, Himmler raised two Muslim Waffen SS divisions; one from Bosnia
(Handschar, meaning “scimitar”), and one from Albania. There were also lesser
known Waffen SS divisions made up of Muslims from the Soviet Caucasus. Hitler
promised Husseini that once the Germans penetrated through the Caucasus, the
“hour of liberation” for the Arabs would come.

How could devout Muslims
ally themselves so willingly with a basically pagan, racist ideology like that
of Nazism? The answer is simple. Nazism, like Islam, is driven by a dictatorial
totalitarian system with a “leader principle” that divides the world into the
“superior” and “inferior.” One can easily substitute the terms “Fuhrer, “Aryan,”
“Ubermensch,” and “Untermensch,” for “Caliph,” “Muslim,” “dhimmi,” and “kafir”.
And there is also the concept of “jihad” in Islam which divides the world into
“dar al-Islam” (house of Islam, where Muslims rule) and “dar al harb” (house of
war, where “infidels” rule). And like Islam, which seeks the total Islamization
of the world, Nazism also sought the total domination of the “Aryan” over the
“non-Aryan” and the total extermination of the Jews. As previously alluded to,
the wearing of yellow clothing was a Muslim invention, not a Nazi one. And there
is also a genocidal Hadith that exists from the 7th century which speaks of a
final war between the Muslims and Jews, resulting in the latter’s total
annihilation. This Hadith is quite openly spoken of in the Muslim world to this
day, as is the boasting of Muhammad’s “ethnic cleansing” through murder and
expulsion of the Jews living in Arabia.

The Final Chapter?
The
Muslim attacks of 9/11 should have woken up America and the West to what Islam
is – and isn’t. Instead, the masses received from world leaders nothing but
platitudes and compliments for Islam which George W. Bush constantly referred to
as a “religion of peace.” And, of course, the words “Islam” and “terrorism”
could never be mentioned in the same sentence.

Perhaps the real issue is
not Shariah per se, but Islam and the Qur’an as a whole. While the world argues
about “moderate” and “radical” Islam, fundamentalist Muslims plan the demise of
the Western world and its Judeo-Christian concepts and values. Under the guise
of “taqiyyah” (dissimulation), Muslims either seek the conversion of non-Muslims
peacefully through “dawa” (the call), or more likely, through “jihad” (holy
war). In the words of convicted failed Times Square bomber, Faisal Shahzad,
“Brace yourselves, because the war with Muslims has just begun. Consider me only
a first droplet of the blood that will follow me.”

In the early 1930’s
the free world made the mistake of dismissing Hitler’s words as mere threats and
ravings. Will the West make the same mistake when continually confronted with
Islamic terror?

Indian police battled with rampaging mobs on Sunday (local time), killing four people, in a bid to contain clashes between Muslims and tribal groups in the north-east that have claimed 30 lives, officials said.


Despite a curfew and shoot-on-sight orders, police struggled to quash the violence that erupted on Friday after Muslims allegedly attacked guards from the Bodo tribal group in an area of Assam state bordering Bhutan.

More than 10,000 people have lost their lives to insurgency in Assam during the past two decades.

Let's worry about Islamofascism

The resolution adopted by Muslim theologians representing the various schools of Islam at the All-India Anti-terrorism Conference organised by Darul Uloom, Deoband, 'denouncing' terrorism but condoning radical Islam's ghastly excesses, apart from remaining silent on Islamist terrorism in India which continues to extract a terrible price, is of a piece with the Observatory Report on Islamophobia released by the Organisation of Islamic Conference at its recent meeting in Dakar, Senegal. Both documents seek to justify manufactured Muslim rage and lay the blame for the resultant death and destruction at the doors of everybody else but Muslims.

It is ironical that Darul Uloom, Deoband, should have taken it upon itself to preach to others the virtues of tolerance - Deobandis are known for neither tolerating others or their faith nor allowing Muslims the freedom to subscribe to modernism and its attendant values. Indeed, Deobandi madarsas at home and abroad, especially in Pakistan, are known to breed Islamofascists whose dark thoughts and darker deeds generate Islamophobia against which the OIC has demanded an international law. Of course, Islamofascism must remain unrestrained and Islamofascists must be allowed the right to practice their ideology of hate. To contest this would amount to Islamophobia, and Islamophobes, as we have now been told, have no right to exist. So, like the proverbial lamb, we should meekly surrender to our slaughter. The least we can do is believe the bogus declaration issued by mullahs who gathered at Darul Uloom, Deoband.



Here's a confession: There was a time of innocence when I believed in the thesis that there is more than one Islam. There were those with whom you could swap ideas, share jokes and even the cup that cheers. A decade later, during which time I spent three years in Cairo and travelled more than once into the heart of Islam - well, almost, since non-Muslims are not allowed beyond Jeddah, the gateway to Mecca and Medina - I stand converted to the view that any talk of there being a moderate Islam or Islam as a religion of peace merely because of the salutation sa'laam is so much bunkum.



In any event, the ummah sees Islam as a religion that demands absolute submission, which is not really the same as a religion that is predicated on peace and equality. And although the Quran does not stress on compulsion, it does not overflow with kindness towards those who do not submit to god's will either. The best they can hope for is to be protected by a treaty (dhimmah), which in this day and age would mean unlimited appeasement, and the privileges of the dhimmi are purchased by paying jiziya apart from humiliating conditions of subservience, for instance communal budgeting and a 'Muslim first' policy, as is being done in our country.



The manufactured rage over Pope Benedictine's comments at a German university about how the Sword of Islam cleared the way for Islam's march beyond Arabia - he was quoting from an obscure Byzantine text - revived memories of the late Aurobindo Ghosh (he spent his last years waging an intellectual battle against Islamofascism from his perch in Texas) and his painstaking research to prove that Islam and peace never co-existed; that the sword of Islam is as much a reality today as it was in the distant past. In a sense, he was right, as much as the Byzantine text the Pope quoted is correct in pitilessly stating a fact that we tend to overlook in our zeal to draw distinctions between moderate and fanatical Islam to cover up for the crimes of the latter more than anything else.

Indeed, India's history records this fact in the most lurid colours. The mass slaughter of Hindu men and enslavement of Hindu women and children, the destruction of Hindu antiquities and temples (of which the best examples are Somnath, Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura), the brutal efforts to efface Hindu tradition and the rapacious means adopted to expand the frontiers of Islamic rule - Jadunath Sarkar and RC Majumdar have chronicled how Muslim invaders, and later those who sat on the masnad of Delhi, were relentlessly engaged in waging jihad against Hindus - are too well-known to require elaboration.

The bloodletting in Jammu & Kashmir, the ethnic cleansing of the Valley to lay the foundation of Nizam-e-Mustafa, the bombings in Mumbai and elsewhere, the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh and Malaysia by preachers of fanatical Islam who have now come to dominate the centrestage of politics in those countries and the pathetic, craven approach of accommodation and concession adopted by the political class of India which was, and continues to be, reluctant to confront the truth, should fashion any honest critique of Islamism and highlight its fascist character. This is not about indulging in Islamophobia, which so agitates the OIC and its cheerleaders, but about coming to grips with the true dimensions of Islamofascism, which should be of over-riding concern for those who believe in freedom and cherish the values of modernism that collectively form the foundation of free and plural societies.

Yes, there will be strident criticism and staunch opposition to any attempt to expose Islamofascism for what it is. And the most strident criticism and the staunchest opposition will not come from the OIC and the mullahs of Darul Uloom, Deoband, but from those who wilfully ignore facts to foist fiction which encourages bigoted hate mongers to typecast those who are appalled by Islamofascism as Islamophobes. The protest will primarily come from two quarters:



  • The Lib-Left intelligentsia, which continues to labour under the self-perpetuating myth that all of Islam is a religion of peace and only an insignificant, fringe minority is to be blamed for distorting the great faith that was born in the sterile sands of Arabia; and,


  • The so-called moderate Muslims who till now have skilfully used doublespeak to position themselves as representatives of the ummah, more so in liberal democracies. Their status is now seriously threatened by those who have no hesitation in acknowledging the true nature of Islam both as a faith and a weapon of subjugation.


    Those who believe in liberty and freedom of thought need not fear either. Being charged with Islamophobia is a small price to pay for securing our future.

    "We've come a long way back and that's because we told the people of New Hampshire the truth," McCain said. "You can't buy an election in the state of New Hampshire. I hope that I have earned your respect."

    McCain encouraged voters to do as much as they could to support him in the final hours before the first-in-nation primaries.

    “I’m asking you to call your friends; I’m asking you to do the things that win elections,” he said.

    The presidential hopeful spoke at length about the threat of ‘Islamo-fascist extremism,’ identifying it as one of the most grave issues facing the United States today.

    “[Islamo-fascist extremists] are the greatest force of evil perhaps we have ever confronted,” he said.

    The senator added that the U.S. has made progress fighting these extremists in Iraq and criticized Democrats who had favored setting a timeline for withdrawing troops.

    McCain said that had the government decided to pull American troops out of Iraq, “Al-Qaeda would be saying they defeated the United States of America and they didn’t then and they never will.”

    In addition, McCain underscored his positions on climate change and political corruption, as well as his foreign policy record, claiming 20 years of experience in dealing with national security issues.

    He spoke optimistically about America’s ability to prevent climate change, discussing the possibility of expanding the use of nuclear power in the U.S.

    “We can unleash American technology,” he said. “There’s a whole range of things we can do, and one of them is nuclear power.”

    McCain acknowledged that there is controversy surrounding the energy source, but cited the existence of American naval ships that contain nuclear power plants and the fact that 80 percent of French electricity is generated by nuclear power as proof of its safety.

    “I’m going to give you a cleaner planet — I promise you that,” McCain said.

    The senator continued by protesting corrupt congressional spending.

    “We have mortgaged your futures” he said, addressing the young people in the audience. “If we don’t fix things, you’re not going to have social security, you’re not going to have Medicare when you retire.”

    McCain pointed to the $255 million that Congress has approved for a “bridge to an island with 50 people living on it” in Alaska as an example of the types of government spending he would like to prevent.

    “I’m going to veto every pork barrel spending bill,” he said.

    McCain kept his speech short, light and routine. In one aside, he quoted Ronald Reagan as saying, “Congress spends money like a drunken sailor, except that I never knew any sailor, drunk or sober, with the imagination of congress.”

    McCain added that once, after he mentioned that quote, he received an angry e-mail from a drunken sailer who felt insulted to be compared to Congress, an anecdote McCain has used often while on the campaign trail.

    McCain was accompanied by his wife and daughters, as well as by Gov. Jim Douglas, R-Vt., who introduced and endorsed McCain’s run for the presidency.

    A WARNING from the UN atomic watchdog that Pakistan's nuclear arsenal could be seized by al-Qa'ida has been endorsed by reports that say extremists have penetrated "the state machinery".

    The Daily Times asked: "How big is the number of those inside the state apparatus who owe allegiance to al-Qa'ida or hate the United States enough to place the country's nuclear assets in the hands of those they regard as the most legitimate 'Islamic response' to the policies of the US?"

    The newspaper suggested last month's escape from custody of alleged al-Qa'ida trans-Atlantic airline bomb plotter Rashid Rauf was an "inside job" and said he had been "helped to vanish into the no-go territory of the tribal areas that have been virtually annexed by al-Qa'ida and its Taliban followers".

    Leaks from the investigations into the assassination of Benazir Bhutto "point again and again to a facilitating hand inside the state structure", the paper said.

    With the exception of Al Qaeda, no terrorist organization on earth is responsible for the deaths of more Americans than Hizballah: The group that drew first blood during its formative years when in 1983 one of its suicide bombers drove a truck packed with explosives into the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 Americans.

    Unlike Al Qaeda, however, Hizballah is more than simply a terror network or a loose confederation of terrorist cells: Hizballah is a state-funded terrorist army with a sophisticated propaganda arm and operational teams deployed worldwide. Not surprisingly, Hizballah is on the U.S. State Department’s list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. Yet some Western media — even a few American politicians — have openly defended Hizballah (as well as its parent company, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) as a legitimate force and political movement.

    Last November, during a presidential campaign speech, Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) said:

    “In order to declare the Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization — something we’ve never done before for a government-run militia — [Pres.] Bush was supported by the Senate. Many in our party opposed this vote, like Senator Dodd and Senator Biden, and I applaud them for that.”
    Two months earlier in an interview on Hezbollah-owned Al Manar TV, former Sen. James Abourezk (D.-SD), long-time compatriot of former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D.-SD), said:

    “I actually marveled at the Hizballah resistance to Israel [during the 2006 war], … It was a marvel of organization, of courage and bravery. I thought it was quite something. … The Lebanese army should ask Hizballah to come and organize it, to train them, you know. And all the Arab armies should have the Hizballah come and do that.”

    Hizballah (in Arabic, “Party of God”) is a Shiia military force based in Lebanon; trained, equipped, and heavily financed by Iran, specifically the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and backed by Syria.

    Born as of means of expanding Iran’s Islamic Revolution throughout the Middle East, Hizballah developed over the course of the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990) into an armed force and global terrorist enabler with tremendous political and media influence in Lebanon.

    Hezballah calls itself a “resistance [against Israel]” — not a “militia” — which is nothing more than semantics. — Hizballah’s wordplay is a means by which it continues to exist — as an armed entity in defiance of United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1559 and 1701, which call for the disarming of all “militias” in Lebanon. In truth, Hizballah is neither resistance nor militia: it is a standing army with a growing base of operations and an expanding arsenal that includes military grade missiles, anti-aircraft and anti-armor weapons, all manner of small arms and explosives, even unmanned aerial vehicles for battlefield reconnaissance.

    Hizballah also “relies” upon its corps of assassins, which its leaders deny, and suicide bombers, which they admit. “The weapon of martyrdom is the main and pivotal weapon on which we can rely,” writes Hizballah’s deputy secretary general Naim Qassem in “Hizballah: The Story from Within.”

    These terrorists operate freely throughout much of Lebanon, beyond the authority of the legitimate army and police. And as more than one shoulder-shrugging Lebanese Army general (many still deferring to Damascus) has told me: “Hizballah was here first.”

    Hizballah is also first in terms of violence. And that violence — actual and threatened — has factored heavily into the Lebanese parliament’s inability to elect a president over the past several months. Armed to the teeth, Hizballah maintains absolute control over a multi-block suburb of Beirut. They are actively training in the Bekaa Valley. They recently conducted military maneuvers in south Lebanon — ignoring a UN “peacekeeping” force — on ground where they fought a tough summer war with Israel in 2006.

    Their expressed goal is nothing less than the destruction of Israel, the United States, and the West. “Our motto which we are not afraid to repeat year after year is ‘Death to America,’” said Hizballah’s secretary general Hassan Nasrallah in a 2005 speech.

    Hizballah also has global reach, and dozens of Hizballah cells have been uncovered since 9/11 inside U.S. cities like Charlotte (N.C.), Detroit, and Los Angeles.

    Like any effective wartime army, Hizballah has learned the importance of an ongoing disinformation campaign. In Lebanon, Hizballah is heavily involved in telecommunications, including control of at least one major telephone hub in Beirut which international calls pass through. Hizballah controls much of the media — print and broadcast — and they have infiltrated newsrooms, manipulated previously objective editorial desks, and bought Western correspondents based in that country. In fact, Hizballah’s media agents often marginally criticize Hizballah as a means of making themselves appear legitimate: “Trying to wash their faces,” as some Lebanese say.

    Hizballah is at war with us. Lebanon is their base. As such, the country is a critical front in the war on terror. I’m not advocating a U.S. invasion of Lebanon, but neither can we afford to put our heads in the sand and hope Hizballah will dissipate. Hizballah is perhaps the world’s largest globally deployed terrorist army. Hizballah is powerful, sophisticated, committed, and growing. They are violent, deceiving us in the media, and their operators are already in the Americas.
