"The Janjaweed are like a grotesque mixture of the mafia and the Ku Klux Klan," says Prendergast. "These guys have a racist ideology that sees the Arab population as the supreme population that would like to see the subjugation of non-Arab peoples. They’re criminal racketeers that have been supported very directly by the government to wage the war against the people of Darfur."

The Online NewsHour: Crisis in Sudan Janjaweed Militia PBS 7 Apr 2006 ... Janjaweed Militia - In-depth Coverage of Crisis in Sudan by the Online NewsHour. ... as observers often tell stories of Janjaweed militiamen riding horses ...blatant racism and a political ideology known as "Arab supremacism" also fuel the Janjaweed's agenda.
The Janjaweed are both "cleaning" the land of non-Arabs and viciously combating the rebellion while receiving impunity from the government in Khartoum, de Waal said.
The Janjaweed has been a key force in the government's campaign in Darfur "that has resulted in the murder, rape and forced displacement of thousands of civilians," said Human Rights Watch, a nonprofit organization particularly concerned about Darfur.

Genocide in Darfur
Racial Motivation of the Genocide. Reports state the African Arab Janjaweed shout racial slurs as they destroy the villages, claiming that they will kill all non-Arab "Africans" or "Blacks". While both the Janjaweed and Darfurians have black skin, the Janjaweed persecute the Darfurians because they are non-Arabs.
One refugree told New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof that "the Arabs want to get rid of anyone with black skin... There are no blacks left [in the area I fled]."

They grabbed my donkey and my straw and said, 'Black girl, you are too dark. You are like a dog. We want to make a light baby,' " said Sawela Suliman, 22, showing slashes from where a whip had struck her thighs. 'They said, 'You get out of this area and leave the child when it's made.' "

...bad guys — the Arab supremacist Janjaweed, their backers in the Sudanese government and their protectors in the oil-hungry Chinese government — and good guys, the oppressed African Darfuris...
That the Janjaweed are bad guys is beyond doubt — they precipitated a conflict that has killed 200,000 and left 2 million homeless in four years, and their own catalogue of atrocities includes mass murder, wholesale rape and burning of "enemy" villages. The same is true of the Sudanese government, which has instigated and supported the Janjaweed reign of terror, and also of Beijing, which shows ruthless cynicism by shielding Khartoum from international sanction in keeping with its insistence that countries should be left to manage their own internal affairs — a position driven by its desire to protect its oil interests in southern Sudan.

The Janjaweed first emerged in 1988 after Chadian President Hissène Habré, backed by France and the United States, defeated the Libyan army, thereby ending Col. Muammar al-Gaddafi's territorial designs on Chad. Libya's Chadian protégé, Acheickh Ibn Omer Saeed, retreated with his Arab militia forces to Darfur, where they were hosted by Sheikh Musa Hilal, the newly-elevated chief of the Mahamid Rizeigat Arabs of north Darfur. Hilal's tribesmen had earlier smuggled Libyan weapons to Ibn Omer's forces. A French-Chadian incursion destroyed Ibn Omer's camp, but his weapons remained with his Mahamid hosts, along with an Arab supremacist ideology associated with the Libyan-sponsored ˜Arab Reunion'.

Homemade genocide... The large district of Noba, populated by many black Muslims, was served its portion of horrors. The Muslims, should they be black, are not granted any favors. Since the rise to power of radical Islam, under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Hassan Thorabi, the situation has worsened. This is probably the worst series of crimes against humanity since WWII. We’re talking about ethnic cleansing, deportations, mass murder, slave trade, forcible enforcement of the laws of Islam, taking children from their parents and more. Millions have become refugees. As far as is known, there are not millions of publications about the Sudanese ‘Right of Return’ and there are no petitions by intellectuals negating Sudan’s right to exist.

Sudan's president appoints Janjaweed leader as adviser
Blow to Darfur peace talks as militia chief rewarded Hilal under UN ban and facing war crime charges
...A tribal sheikh described as "the poster child for Janjaweed atrocities in Darfur" has been given a senior government position by the Sudanese authorities. Musa Hilal, who is accused of leading militias on a state-sponsored campaign to cleanse parts of Darfur of non-Arab farmers, will act as special adviser to the minister of federal government.
The appointment was made despite Hilal facing a UN travel ban and sanctions for his role in the conflict, and ahead of his possible indictment by the international criminal court for war crimes (ICC).
...rights groups allege that Hilal ran training camps for fighters and was present at the scene of several large attacks on villages in north Darfur. As part of its case against Harun, prosecutors at the ICC described Hilal as a "notorious militia/Janjaweed leader" who spoke alongside Harun at a militia rally in 2003, making a "very racist" speech in which he talked of "holy war". The court is planning to issue more indictments and Hilal is thought to be high on the list of candidates.

“Carterwauling”:
Jimmy Carter's Shamefully Ignorant Statement on Darfur
...Then there is the use of rape as a weapon of war by Arab militias in Darfur. The racial component of rape in Darfur has been well-documented at this point. In a typical example, here is what three Fur women--the Fur are the largest African tribal group in Darfur--told Doctors Without Borders: "We saw five Arab men who came to us and asked where our husbands were. Then they told us that we should have sex with them. We said no. So they beat and raped us. After they abused us, they told us that now we would have Arab babies; and if they would find any Fur, they would rape them again to change the color of their children." Racist epithets are typically hurled at women and girls, who are often gang-raped and then scarred to mark them as rape victims--a terrible burden in Darfur's conservative Muslim ethos. Can there be any denying that such ethnically targeted rapes fall under the Genocide Convention's admonition that "[c]ausing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group" constitutes genocide?
Moreover, because of the stigma that attaches to raped women, marriage and thus child-bearing becomes impossible for many. And, for some victims, especially younger girls, ensuing medical complications make child-bearing physically impossible. Which means that these rapes clearly meet yet another definition of genocide contained in the U.N. convention: "[i]mposing measures intended to prevent births within the group."
In addition, children, as well as women, are continually abducted by the Janjaweed. This, too, is a genocidal act under the convention, which prohibits "[f]orcibly transferring children of the group to another group."

Omar Hassan al-Bashir
Mike Hutchings/ReutersUpdated: April 15, 2010
On June 30, 1989, Lieut. Gen. Omar Hassan al-Bashir, a military leader in Sudan, seized power in a bloodless coup backed by Islamists. He assumed the presidency in 1993.
Mr. Bashir has been vilified in the West and blamed over the years for cozying up to Osama bin Laden, abusing human rights and unleashing death squads in Darfur, the war-racked region of western Sudan. Last year, he was charged by the International Criminal Court with crimes against humanity.
[...]
Bashir Accused of War Crimes
In February 2009, judges at the International Criminal Court approved a warrant for Mr. Bashir's.
[...]
In announcing his request for a warrant, the prosecutor in the case, Luis Moreno-Ocampo, said that Mr. Bashir had "masterminded and implemented" a plan to destroy three main ethnic groups in Darfur, the Fur, the Masalit and the Zaghawa. The prosecutor said that the president, responding to attacks by rebel groups seeking greater autonomy, had used government soldiers and Arab militias and had "purposefully targeted civilians" belonging to these groups, killing 35,000 people "outright" in attacks on towns and villages
[...]
The Arab-led government responded with a ferocious counterinsurgency campaign, which the prosecutor called a genocidal strategy against Darfur's black African ethnic groups.

Salafi Imam: We Must BELIEVE Arabs are “Master Race”
Salafi Imam: We Must BELIEVE Arabs are “Master Race”
February 19, 2008
In part five of my series Why Blackamerican Muslims Don’t Stand For Justice, I mentioned the racist beliefs held and taught by one of the major leaders of the 1990’s Salafi Movement, Imam Abu Usamah Ath-Thahabi (a Blackamerican), that the Arabs are superior to the non-Arabs (or in other words: the Arabs are the “Master Race”)
My purpose here is to show the insidious nature of this movement in promoting the RACIAL superiority of Arabs. And while the Salafis happen to be the only ones brazen (or foolish) enough to openly preach this swill, it is nevertheless a tightly held secret in many classical Islamic texts. These Salafis actually want to give this repugnant teaching the status of religious dogma. Needless to say, Abu Usamah’s email quoted below explains why so many brothers in that movement suffer from inferiority complexes and try to be Arab. This is what he wrote: below the foldARABS are BETTER than Non-Arabs…
Alhamdulilah Was Salaatu Was Salaamu ‘Alaa Rasullilah:
Before dealing with this topic, it should be noted that recognized scholars of the Sunnah differed amongst themselves in this issue. Therefore, people should be careful about the way they choose to deal with the person that has an opposing view to his. If a person takes an opposing view to what is correct and his mistake and faulty opinion is due to him simply being human but he made every effort to follow the truth, then clearly this person is not blameworthy!
After offering up the above disclaimer, the acknowledged “difference of opinion” is further along in the piece repudiated on the authority of his Sheikh (not the Quran and Sunnah), who further adds quite demagogically that those who refuse to accept this divine “truth” are deviants in religion!Sheikh-ul-Islam, Ibn Taymiyyah (ra) was of the opinion that Arabs ARE SUPERIOR (Afdal) than Non-Arabs and he claimed that this was the view that was held by the MAJORITY of the scholars - ‘Al-Jamhoor’- .
He wrote: “And the MAJORITY of scholars are of the opinion that the Arab species is better (Afdal) than the Non-Arab (species) just as the nation of Quraish is better (Afdal) than the Non-Quraishite nations and (just as) the nation of Bani Haashim is better (Afdal) than the Non-Bani Haashim (nations).” Majm’u Al-Fataawa 19/29
He also wrote: “…This was the position of Imam Ahmed (ra) and the MAJORITY of Ahlul ‘Ilm.” Iqtidaa As-Siraatil-Mustaqeem 2/421
Also, refer to what he said in Majmu’ Fataawa 27/472.
For great scholars of Ahmed ibn Hanbal and Ibn Taymiyyah’s caliber to advance such racist garbage is truly disheartening, nevertheless Ibn Taymiyyah claims it is the position of the “majority” of Muslim scholars. The question for us becomes; is it? Do the scholars of the large immigrant Muslim organizations like I.S.N.A, Q.S.S., C.A.I.R., M.A.S., I.I.I.T, etc, clandestinely subscribe to this noxious belief? Could this possibly explain why Blackamerican Muslims, at least from my observation over the years, are treated like second class citizens in every one of these groups? Is there a conspiracy to perfume and camouflage this reeking, ideological excrement just long enough to smuggle it passed unsuspecting and uninitiated Muslims? And doesn’t the Quran plainly attach the notion of superiority to taqwa (God consciousness) and completely reject any and all such theories of racial superiority? And what about that beautiful scene we fondly remember in the movie “The Message”, when during the Prophet’s final sermon he stated “know that there is no superiority of the Arab over the non Arab….except in the fear of God.”
Further, what is the nature of this “Superiority” anyway? Is it that the Arabs are stronger or super human? Are they inherently more intelligent? Do they have a first class, guaranteed ticket to Paradise? What EXACTLY does superiority mean and why bring it to a people struggling to overcome their own feelings of INFERIORITY? Far from echoing the teachings of the Merciful Lord of all the worlds, it more resembles the rantings of Hitler’s Mein Kampf.Unfortunately, when discussing the issue of the ‘Afdaliyyah’ or superiority of the Arabs over the ‘Ajamees’ (Non-Arabs), many people fail to do justice to this hotly debated topic.
Muslims – including students of knowledge - tend to tenaciously cling to the fringes of the two extremes and they find it extremely difficult to remain fair, just and balanced!

When The Arab-Muslims shout "racism"
Islam does, of course, contain within itself an Arab supremacist ideology,
as one can easily begin to comprehend, and the Arab treatment of non-Arab
Muslims (Berbers, Kurds, black Africans in Darfur) is on display right now, for
all the world's non-Arab Muslims, and its Infidels, to view and come to
understand. If there is any "racism" charge to be flung, it must be flung at
Islam, as a vehicle for that Arab imperialism that has been the most successful
imperialism in history, causing those non-Arabs conquered to desperately wish to
become, in some way, just like the Arabs who conquered them through islamization
-- to become "Arabs."
But that is a separate matter, offered here only by way of reply to those
Muslims who would dare to raise the specter of "racism."

Free Speech for Islamofascist Hate
http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_020607/content/01125107.guest.html
February 6, 2007
RUSH: Colin in London, England, it's nice to have you on the program. Yes.
CALLER: It's actually Paul in London, but it's lovely to speak to you again.
RUSH: I'm sorry, Paul. It says "Colin" up here, but I'll take the hit because I make the big bucks.
CALLER: It's my hideous limey accent. Yeah. Well, firstly, most importantly, definitely "Fire" by The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. I've got to agree with you on that one.
RUSH: Thank you very much.
CALLER: Or if you can get Paul Shanklin to do "Eve of Destruction," radically changing the lyrics of course away from those hideous ones they already have.
RUSH: Oh, yeah, that was a good one. It was by Barry McGuire.
CALLER: Barry McGuire, yeah. Listen, Rush, I agree with you on the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, but not on that Islamic school in London. I gotta say I agree with you on most things, but not that. You said it was a freedom of speech issue for them to be teaching Muslim kids that...
RUSH: Well, people may not have heard this.
CALLER: Sure.
RUSH: It was in the last hour. Here's the story. It's a UPI story: "An Islamic school in England has been accused of poisoning the minds of its pupils with textbooks that portray Jews as apes and Christians as pigs," and they say that this school in Britain has been accused of "teaching hate" by virtue of portraying Jews as apes and Christians as pigs, and I said, "What's hateful about that? It doesn't strike me as particularly hateful."
CALLER: Well, this is not being done in a kind of Sesame Street way. This kind of dehumanizing is endemic across the Arab world. It's a motif. They always say Jews are pigs and Christians are apes or vice-versa. I forget. Let's put it another way: if this was a secular school that suddenly decided to have a book that, in a nasty way, portrayed black people as monkeys or something as equally hideously racist, the law would come down on them like a ton of bricks.
RUSH: Yes.
CALLER: But because of multiculturalism they're left alone. The other point is you start with kids. You know, from acorns oak trees grow. At the very least they're going to be Islamic supremacists when they get old older.
RUSH: Right.
CALLER: I say "at the very least." You know, I hate to think of the very worst, but if they think of us as being apes and pigs, then maybe they won't mind killing us so easily.
RUSH: You know, you have given me an occasion here to do something that I seldom am able to do. You must be listening to the program on the Internet, right?
CALLER: I do, yes.
RUSH: All right, well, I'm going to take you off the air. The audience will still be able to hear me, but I'm going to take you off; you'll still be on the Internet but you will not be out over the radio, because I have to tell you you're laboring here under a misunderstanding. I can't give the whole thing away to the whole audience, all right?
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: Well, I will be. They're going to be hearing me, but let me just explain this to you. We have a phrase here and I've used it ever since -- Mike, throw that switch so that this guy is not on the air; he can still be on the Internet.
CALLER: (nervous giggle)
RUSH: All right, is it done? Okay. Now, I have a phrase here to describe this program: "illustrating absurdity by being absurd."
CALLER: Ah, I see.
RUSH: For almost 19 years here, I've been dealing with stories like this --
CALLER: Mmmm?
RUSH: -- and being righteously indignant and apocalyptic. "We're going to hell in a handbasket. How can this stuff be happening?" and so forth. I think, rather, that the best way to make the point of just how absurd it is, is to agree with it.
CALLER: Hmm. I should have thought this. Us Brits are always going on about irony and so this is actually...
RUSH: This is about getting you up to speed here on this. This is ridiculous. The thing is, in this country, Christians are the one group -- the one religious group -- you can totally make fun of and bash and destroy.
CALLER: Mmm-hmm.
RUSH: Jewish people? There's a new wave of anti-Semitism all over Europe, and the United Nations I consider to be the repository for anti-Semitism today.
CALLER: Yes.
RUSH: I'll give you an example of how I do this. Are you familiar, Paul, with -- how shall I say this? -- the controversy in which I became entwined over comments made about the media; the way they reported on Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb?
CALLER: Yes, I am.
RUSH: All right. Well, we just finished our Super Bowl here and the Chicago Bears quarterback, Rex Grossman, for the last three weeks has just been slimed by the sports media in this country. They just said that he was the worst quarterback to ever play in the Super Bowl. They have been treating this guy with no mercy whatsoever. They have been predicting doom and gloom; they've been hoping that he would have a rotten Super Bowl. They're happily reporting that he did, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So yesterday, I said that I think the only reason that the media is down on Rex Grossman is because they have this "social desire" for the NFL to become modernized and so forth, get with it for the twenty-first century, and they just love trashing this guy because he's a white quarterback and they don't want him to do well.
CALLER: Oh, yeah.
RUSH: Now, I did that -- I think it's safe to admit it now -- because I was trying to tweak the same media who went bonkers when I said the same thing about them and the way they treat Donovan McNabb. Twenty-four hours have gone by and they haven't picked up on it, so either they knew I was joking and got the point or... Obviously they haven't picked it up so they knew that I was tweaking them. It's the same thing here: of course I don't think it's okay to call Jews apes and Christians pigs, but to simply ask, "What's so hateful about that?" is my way of calling even more attention to how absurd it is.
CALLER: Sure.
RUSH: Just a new technique here to try to get people aroused and get them attentive to something that I do consider to be something that's pretty bad.
CALLER: I totally understand.
RUSH: Hang on here just a second. Throw the switch and bring Paul back up on the air now.
CALLER: Oh, yeah, I totally get it. I've been listening for a year on the net, and I'm still learning. I'm still a Rush Baby.
RUSH: Well, I'm happy to be able to explain this to you. Times are serious now. It used to be that new audience members could get this show in six weeks. You had to listen for six weeks to understand the combination of serious discussion of issues with irreverent humor. The libs, after 18-1/2 years, still don't get the "irreverent humor" aspect of it, and I didn't want you laboring under a misconception here. It's not often that I give away the so-called tricks of the trade here, but in your case you sounded so earnest and so serious, I couldn't allow you to labor any further in a misunderstanding of my attempt here to make a point in a rather circuitous and unique way. I'm thrilled that you're over there in London listening. I'm happy to have you as a member of the audience, and, Paul, thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to make sure you didn't finish the busy day scratching your head over what had happened to me. You should rest assured, be confident, that nothing has happened to me. I have never been better. Okay?
CALLER: Yes, Rush. Thank you.
RUSH: All right. What do you do for a living, Paul, by the way?
CALLER: Oh, don't ask. You wouldn't believe me. Could you take me off the air again?
RUSH: Yeah. Throw the switch and take him off the air.
CALLER: I work for the Drive-By Media.
RUSH: Wait, wait, Paul. Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
CALLER: (Giggling.)
RUSH: Okay, now. I have 20 seconds.
CALLER: I work for the BBC.
RUSH: Reeeeeeally?
CALLER: Ha-ha-ha!
RUSH: Folks, it's not that bad. Bring him back up. He works for the Drive-By Media. He works for the BBC. And you're a Rush Baby?
CALLER: I am a novelty! I'll probably get the sack now.
RUSH: You let us know if that happens and I'll cancel an interview I'm doing with them next week. Seriously, I'm doing an interview with them next week. If you get canned, let me know and I'll cancel.
