Arabs racism and hypocrisy

Arabs racism and hypocrisy

This is a letter from an Arab-American guy to an Arab newspaper, very interesting because it raised a very good issues about racism (Arabs vs Arabs and Arabs vs African-Americans), since I don’t live in the US so I don’t have any idea about the background of the problem but I could see that his argument can fit even here in Europe.

Greetings and I hope you are well and in good favor…………….Having lived in the U.S. for the past 24 years………

It remains a solid fact that as Arabs we became very comfortable with our hypocrisy in believing that we practice high measures of a higher moral code while in reality our social ways and practices are the very antithesis of the moral standards we advocate. I dearly wish that you could write about Arab racism, specifically Arab against Arab racism that is based on color of the skin, and Arab racism against non Arab minorities of the U.S. This phenomenon though rarely spoken about is one of the biggest social maladies that we commonly and overtly practice as Arabs both in the Arab world and in the Diaspora. Here in the U.S. for example one often finds Muslim Arab Americans advocate the principles of Islam, and call on people to adopt this great faith, however, any Muslim of dark color could tell you that the common practice of “separate but equal” is the socially accepted norm among white Arab Muslims when black Arab Muslims or black none Arab Muslims are considered.

Yet in most Arab American circles an observer would note our excessive criticism of American society as one in which anti Arab racism prevails. Our criticism of American society as a racist one became particularly evident ever since 9/11, and while it remains a solid fact that Arab Americans became feared, hated, accused, harassed, interrogated, and feared in American society post 9/11, it also remain a solid ironic fact that the multitude of Arab Americans still practice covert and overt acts of racism against African Americans in particular despite our bitter brush with racism after 9/11.

It is well known to the African American communities that Arab Americans have the same superiority complex which European Americans had in the past. We Arab Americans choose at free-will not only to disassociate from the African American communities, but also contribute to some great extent to the destruction of these communities. Note for example that the majority of the liquor-store small businesses in the economically depressed African American neighborhoods are owned by Arab Americans. It is worthy of mentioning that most of the Arab American owners of these liquor stores view these communities with a loathing eye of contempt and choose to reside away from these African American neighborhoods on whose destruction they contribute!

It must be noted for the sake of fairness however that it is the Muslim Arab Americans who adopt and practice racism. It is rather ironic that post 9/11 we as Muslim Arab Americans became more concerned with the various elements of bigotry that is directed towards our communities with out ever having the courage to face-up the racism that comes out of our own communities in particular one that is directed towards African Americans. Having lived in the U.S. for a long while now, I can say with accuracy that I have witnessed American society take very positive legal and social measures to do away with racial discrimination. But I have also witnessed that among the very first things Arabs acquire when they come to America is racism.

KURDS VS ARAB 'PALESTINIANS'
IT PAYS TO BE AN ILLEGITIMATE & MURDEROUS "PALESTINIAN" THAN TO BE A LEGITIMATE PEACEFUL KURD

Dec. 2007

As the world's about to give yet another state [Jordan ain't enough?] for the [group of immigrant Arabs into Israel that call themselves as] "Palestinians", that have never behaved and do not merely fight for a 'homeland' which Israel was never theirs anyhow, but have their goal of eliminating Israel, ethnic cleansing and racist genocide, the poor Kurds still sink under oppression by Turkey, by Arab racism in: Syria, Iraq, and by Islamic fascists regime of Iran.

Let's make it clear, even if there will be a "Palestine" state, it will never change the factual history, that a group of immigrants came into the land of the Jews and hijacked the world comunity via terrorism and Arab oil power to give them yet a second 'Palestine' state (after Jordan).

THE KURDS
REAL PEOPLE, WITH REAL ASPIRATION OF A DESERVING HOMELAND - THE LEGITIMATE
VICTIMS OF OPPRESSION & ARAB RACISM

Hiding Arab Racism, May 1, 2005 By Adel Makhoul

This book, like Culture and Imperialism, is essentially about Western prejudice against Islam. Said condemns intellectuals in the West who in his eyes are "agents of exploitation". Yet Said himself is an agent of racism: Arab Racism.

A Pan Arabist, he always supported Arab unity and "Islam" at the expense of non-Arab and non-Moslem peoples. Said directs and manipulates the Western taste for self criticim, and all that does is deflect the world's attention from Arab and Moslem attrocities committed against Christians, Kurds, Jews, Israelis, Coptic Christians, non-Arab Sudanese, etc.

Thus, reading Said, you would never realize that Sadam Hussein's poisoning of the Kurds has never been condemned by one Arab intellectual or leader. This is because a racist prevalent attitude in the Arab mind is that the entire Middle East should be Arab. This also explains the attitude towards Israel, a country that is predominantly non-Moslem and speaks a Middle Eastern language other than Arabic.

The pity is that Said himself is a Christian, yet he never spoke on behalf of Coptic Christians in Egypt, or the right of Christians to practice their faith in Saudi Arabia and probably other places in the Arab World. He is facilitating the overall aim of PanArab Nationalists by distracting the West from what is happening in the Arab world.

For a better understanding of relations between the West and Islam, I recommend books by Bernard Lewis, such as "The Moslem Discovery of Europe" and the "Jews of Islam". I also recommend books by the Egyptian scholar and Jewish refugee Yael Bat Yeor, such as "The Dhimmi".

Second- Citizens...For Many, Not Citizens at All

Erasing Ethnic Identity.Syrian Kurds were banned from giving their children names reflecting their ethnic identity.Pary Karadaghi, Director of Kurdish Human Rights Watch in Washington, says one of the most basic ways of showing Kurdish identity was taken away. "The campaign of 'Arabization' actually replaced the Kurdish names," she says. "People could not have Kurdish names on cities, buildings [and] businesses. Children's names could not be Kurdish."

Syria's Kurds struggled for years to survive despite government oppression on many fronts. They closely watched their Iraqi counterparts, who achieved a measure of autonomy in the 1990s, and pressed Damascus for their own rights. Their demands were ignored or sometimes met with waves of repression.

CNN's Arab Propagandist Hala Gorani

CNN's Arab Propagandist Hala Gorani introduces us to a western-type Arab singer ‘Caramel’ as if that's a 'normal Arab today'.

11/2/07

The Arab Hala Gorani http://edition.cnn.com/CNN/anchors_reporters/gorani.hala.html introduces us on http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/ywt/ to a western-type Arab singer ‘Caramel’ as if that's a 'normal Arab today'.

The Arab Hala Gorani has a long history on CNN to 'glorify Middle east cultures' on her show 'Inside the Middle east' http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/middle.east/, she's a master on picking & selecting the rare and never on the mainstream. In other words, not showing reality but being a propaganda tool for the Arab world, when no one speaks [really] for the west in that wild jungle of hatred.

In this age of “multiculturalism” that is nothing but a tool by Islamists, it’s not the time to lie and be a propaganda machine instead of showing what’s most important, what most Arab Muslims have by in large, intolerant mostly that is, from their burning venomous mainstream media to the ‘guy on the Arab street’, the dark cult of the ‘angry Arab’ from their native world onto Paris or Amsterdam or Sydney, etc. is being cheered and boosted by Arab journalists and leadership.

Until the Arab Muslim leadership & media will not change, this cult will only keep growing no matter what “excuse” they try so hard to sell us.

A suggestion to Her 'Inside the middle east', Like to select postivity in that world? start showing us [exactly] how many in that world like the west [no matter what 'policy' we take].

____________

This is another [from 2006] example of that Arab Hala Gorani

This is just such powerful proof of how lame the Media-Left have become. The CNN interview of Abdurahmen Jafar of the Muslim Council of Britain conducted by Hala Gorani is just too aggravating. Especially when the rotten twit compares the 12 cartoons to anti-Semitic cartoons during the Nazi era in Germany as an indication that Europe is now 60 years on "re-learning to hate". Yeah right - he might as well have said in the middle of the night, the sun is up, let's switch off the lights with Hala obligently replying "Your right, it's practically glaring in here. Someone switch the lights of pleeease". How can she let him get away wih this blatant distortion; as CNN's hostess of ‘Inside the Middle East’, a half-hour programme featuring stories on the "most important social and cultural issues in the region", surely she must be aware of the daily plethora of precisely such Nazi style hate cartoons published unabatedly THROUGHOUT the last 60 years.

Or this one

CNN'S 'INSIDE THE MIDDLE EAST' PROGRAM IS DEFINITELY ONE-SIDED

September 10, 2005.
This weekend:

1) Hala Gorani featured the Christian minority in Gaza: there was not one mention of Arafat's persecution of Christians (which led to their enormous diminishing and becoming the tiny minority as such). However the transparent fear of the Arab-Christian priest interviewed, his reluctant & extra caution of words should be clear to everyone that Hamas' totalitarian cruelty (and it's 70% popularity among "moderates" there...) is all over the place.

2) Jim Bitterman reported on the 'situation' in France, and the effect post Gift-Of-Land in Gaza to the "Palestinians". We were expecting Mr. Jim Bitterman to be mentioning the obvious ONE SIDED violence from Arab Muslims on Jews, whether physical brutality on people passers by that happened to be Jews, or burning down Synagogues etc. instead he started off by being blurry and painting it inaccurately, as he said tension between Muslims and Jews..., AS IF Jews were --in some cases-- the attackers as well... Maybe it is that wrong notion that all sides are equally to blame, as that cliche of "extremists on both sides", (Let's face it, as on the Arab Muslim side, is there any organized murderers of civilians on the Israeli or any Jewish side?) is well entrenched in journalism today, either to appear as politically correct or to make the impression as being "objective".

We are very sorry that Mr. Bitterman is either naive in this area or feels that he has to "say" it, for such is the form-formula for journalism today.
