The Fault The Guilt of Most Arab Muslims

Not every single Arab is a born racist [admire courageous Arabs that stand up against it, such as many Arab Christians] nor is every single Muslim an Islamofacsist Jihadist [salute the few brave that speak up]. However, due to their current twisted upbringing the racism in the Arab world & Jihad or Jihad-apologetics are a problem in their mainstream not just in the fringes or merely "pockets" of "extremists".

Australians have finally found some justice and hopefully, a sense of peace and closure. Three Islamists were executed by Indonesian authorities on Sunday, shortly after midnight, for the heinous, cowardly, and evil bombings of several nightclubs in Bali on October 12, 2002, an act which “killed 202 people — most of them young Australians — and injured more than 300.” Australians have held steadfast in the war against Islamo-fascism, and will probably become even more unwavering in defense of Western ideals after hearing the twisted and unremorseful ramblings of the three Bali bombers before their executions.

The Bali terrorists — cowards — were defiant and brimming with religious pretense on Saturday night:

… A source in the prison told Agence France-Presse they shouted “Allahu Akbar” (”God is great”) as they were escorted out of their isolation cells by paramilitary police just before their executions. …

What god would want praise from such evil-doers? Most people of faith believe that repentance for one’s immoral acts is an intrinsic part of a good person’s life. Not so for the Bali terrorists:

… Imam Samudra, 38, brothers Amrozi, 47, and Mukhlas, 48, were the most recognised figures in Indonesia’s jihadi movement, combining displays of religious piety with threats of violence and a total disregard for their “infidel” victims. …
He [Mukhlas] expressed nothing but defiance over the bombings and repeatedly boasted of his willingness to die. He sacked one legal team because they intended to show the court he was remorseful.
The only regret he expressed for masterminding an attack that caused horrific carnage is toward the Muslim victims.
“I don’t ask for forgiveness from infidels, I only ask for forgiveness from Muslims,” he told the international media on October 1. …
At the bombers’ last meeting with the international press on October 1, it was Amrozi who stole the show once again.
Delivering a threat of retribution through his ineradicable grin, he was mischievously vague.
“It’s not necessary for me to tell you what the retribution will be,” he said. …

At a commemoration of the Bali bombing in Australia on October 12, 2005, Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer firmly stated that:

… it is important to take a determined stance against terrorists, he said, noting that Australia has been working with Indonesian law enforcement agencies to hunt down the perpetrators of violence. …

Australians dashed the hopes of the terrorists and their sympathizers by re-electing John Howard’s Liberal-National coalition in 2004. Howard supported the Iraq war and defiantly kept his troops in Iraq, while his opponent Mark Latham had promised to bring the troops home. Australians picked Howard. And even after tiring of Howard, Australian’s new choice of prime minister, Kevin Rudd of the Labor Party, has strengthened a once wishy-washy stance against terrorism:

… The new P.M. is likely to go Howard’s way on foreign policy, too. … On Iraq, Rudd has moderated Labor’s earlier “pull-out-now” policy. He says he will bring home the 1,400 Australian troops in Iraq and the Gulf gradually, in a “negotiated, staged withdrawal.” He is prepared to send more troops to Afghanistan.
Australia under Labor will remain a “rock solid” friend of the U.S. …

It will be up to the Anglosphere — Britain, the U.S., Australia, India, Israel, Singapore — to maintain the lead in the war on terror. Thank G#d Australia can be penciled into the right column.

Australians: We grieve with you but also stand firmly with you in the struggle to preserve Western civilization.

Terror accused told to kill 1,000, Australian court told

MELBOURNE (AFP) — A Muslim "terrorist organisation" was urged by their leader to target football matches or a train station in Australia in a bid to kill 1,000 people, a court heard Wednesday.

A group of 12 men pleaded not guilty to a string of terrorism-related charges amid tight security in the Victorian Supreme Court.

Their alleged leader, cleric Abdul Nacer Benbrika, 47, had suggested during taped telephone calls that a bombing where the maximum loss of life could be inflicted, such as at a football ground, could be suitable, the court heard.

Benbrika taught the group that it was "permissible to kill women, children and the aged" in the cause of violent jihad or holy war, said prosecutor Richard Maidment.

Maidment said the case was about "a home-grown terrorist organisation" and that Benbrika had urged the group to do "something big" to pressure the Australian government to take its troops out of Iraq.

"If you kill here a thousand, the government is going to think, because if you get large numbers here, the government will listen," Maidment said Benbrika told fellow-accused Abdullah Merhi in a conversation intercepted by police.

In another conversation with an undercover police officer who infiltrated the group, Benbrika asked if he could be shown how to make explosives using ammonium nitrate, the prosecutor said.

He had asked how much was required to destroy a house and then wanted to know "how much to destroy a larger building."

The prosecutor also said that material, including literature on how to make bombs, and video tapes with messages from Osama Bin Laden, was seized from the group by police.

The jury would later hear that in another secretly recorded conversation, another of the accused, Ezzit Raad, remarks about the 2005 London bombings: "Terrible, should have been more."

"The crown case is encapsulated in the words of the accused themselves," Maidment said.

"When you listen (to the tapes) it will become clear to you that each of the accused was committed to violent jihad."

The men were arrested in a series of swoops in Sydney and Melbourne in November 2005, days after the government passed tough new anti-terrorism legislation, and remain in custody.

A group of nine men arrested at that time appeared in court in Sydney in May last year and pleaded not guilty to conspiring to launch a terrorist attack in Australia. Their trial is yet to begin.

Nobel prize winner and president of East Timor has been airlifted to an Australian hospital following an assasination attempt connected with an attempted coup.In the meanwhile, his country is under a curfew.

The accused assassin is an ex General, Alfredo Reinado, who was killed in the attempted assassination, along with one rebel and one of the president’s bodyguards. An hour later, the country’s Prime minister’s motorcade was attacked.

The unrest by disaffected militants has been growing in the last year or two.
Australia will send more troops and police to help that country to stay peaceful.
East Timor was originally taken over by Indonesia in 1976 and suffered many massacres because of an insurgency fighting for independence. However, once the UN decided to let them vote, over 100 000 were killed in massacres by suspected Indonesian incited nationalists.
There is an active connection of (majority Christian) East Timor to the war on terror.

One, the Bali bombing that killed hundreds, including almost a hundred Australians, was in retaliation for the UN sponsored Australian troops who were sent in to stop the massacres.
Two: one early suicide bombing of the UN in Baghdad was not about the US, but against the UN diplomat who also had been active in obtaining independence for East Timor.

The continuing unrest and the now attempted coup should remind people that after wars, there tends to be disagreements that those used to violence will quickly resort to violence again.

What Kind of War Are We Fighting, and Can We Win It?

A Symposium

In honor of Norman Podhoretz's recently published volume, World War IV: The Long Struggle Against Islamofascism, Commentary Magazine asked fifteen leading thinkers four questions pertaining to different scenarios in the book.

* Is it correct to consider the current war as WW IV?
* How much progress has been achieved post 9/11?
* Is the spread of democracy the best way to win the war against Islamofascism?
* Will the Bush Doctrine survive the 2008 elections and in what form?

The general response was that we are indeed engaged in a "world war". Democracy - or at least the ideals of freedom and liberty - may need to be nourished after a military victory. There are mixed opinions on America’s progress post 9/11; and finally the Bush Doctrine may or may not survive the elections - but is probably the best chance that America possesses.
